Job Description: We are currently seeking an experience Business Service Engineer to join our client's team in Redditch on a 12 week contract (possible extension) basis. As an Business Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of cyclical maintenance, service and monitoring of Mechanical and electrical systems to comply with all current statutory regulations and good building maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

* To ensure efficiency, effectiveness and equality in service delivery.

* To exercise proper integrity and respect of confidential matters and personal information obtained during the execution of the duties of this post.

* To reflect the Council’s core values and objectives in undertaking the duties of this post.

* To provide outstanding customer services to all customers, colleagues, elected Members etc. In particular by building trust, taking responsibility and assuming ownership of issues, actively listening, communicating with empathy and being flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of others.

* To understand and comply with the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any other relevant regulations as detailed in the Council’s Health and Safety Policy Statement.

* To carry out duties and responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 1998; in particular, to take all reasonable care that no unauthorised loss or disclosure of personal data occurs.

Requirements:

* Significant experience within a property environment, particularly in Commercial and Public buildings

* Experience working in a Mechanical Engineering environment within the property sector

* Knowledge of Statutory Legislation relevant to property management

* Familiarity with financial and Contractual Regulations related to property management

* Experience and expertise in repairs and maintenance of buildings

* Proficiency in administration of records management and/or financial systems

* Demonstrable proficiency with IT packages and web-based applications

* Awareness of Data Protection Act, confidentiality, and Freedom of Information regulations

* Experience in dealing with complex complaints and continuous issues

* Proficiency in producing building contract documentation

* Experience and knowledge of production of CDM (Construction, Design, and Management) documentation

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to property management

* Understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information principles and regulations
