WHAT TO EXPECT

This role supports the Engineering Operations Director by owning and driving a transformation strategy, alongside delivery, that drive Product Engineering vision and JLR’s corporate blueprint for lasting success. Part of the role will be to ensure high quality, integrated and impactful communication of our transformation and delivery to a wide range of stakeholders within Engineering Operations, E and wider JLR.  With business wide exposure, this role will provide an excellent customer experience to internal and external customers and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. This role sits in Engineering Operations and will help to deliver a transformation strategy that is connected and recognised at all levels within the organisation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Support Engineering Operations Director:
Plan and deliver Go-Look-Sees across the function.
Build and manage a network of trustworthy contacts and stakeholders in Product Engineering & surrounding functions.
Act as the one stop shop for senior requirements, you can save time with all parties by being a one source of the truth as opposed to multiple senior discussions. 
Prepare presentations and management information to bring Engineering Operations to life, delivering clear and concise storytelling, often technical aspects of our department. 
Support Engineering Operations Transformations:
Support specific first line activities where central steer and input is required.
Help deliver strategic visions throughout the function.
Be part of a leadership team that sets out our 3-year vision for the engineering community.
Support Engineering Operations, operational activities.
Ensuring overall structure, cadence and actions for engineering Operations are achieved and communicated to Engineering in a transparent manner 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

Ability to interact and influence multiple stakeholders across JLR, including executive leaders.
Significant experience of inspiring others.  Is successful in achieving results through others, developing high performance teams and structured approach.
Highly independent – able to act autonomously with little or no oversight and comfortable with ambiguity.
Resilient, energetic and enthusiastic, responds constructively to new ideas and input in a changing business environment.
Strong project management skills 
An individual who is comfortable challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style. 
A communicator who communicates directly, clearly and openly.  
An individual who can demonstrate good capability in leadership and management skills, who can motivate, develop, and lead functional and cross-functional teams.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills providing the ability to represent the team at senior meetings.
Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work with confidential information and ensure discretion at all times.
