The Associates are looking for a technical BI manager to join a growing business in London. This Hybrid working role will see you in a pivotal position aiding the business to expand and grow the BI footprint in the business. The initial phase of this will be the building of an EDW.

As the Business Intelligence manager you will manage 1 member of staff initially but this will expand over time. For you to be successful it is essential that you possess advanced knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and Excel, along with expertise in data modelling and data warehousing. You should also have a strong background in cloud computing, particularly in Azure, and an interest/ experience in Microsoft Fabric.

As the BI Manager you will have ownership of data life cycle from extracting raw data to developing dashboards. This includes leading the planning and execution of initiatives to increase BI maturity in a high growth organisation where the vision is to have sector-leading BI capability that drives business decisions across the strata of the organisation.

You will be addressing the business’s increasing demands for data insights by establishing a scalable delivery model, managing workflows and implement strategies to enhance team productivity. Being able to assess workloads and prioritise activities is key attribute to the BI manager role.

You will be managing Power BI service, including the design and structure of the workspaces and approval of access rights through row level security. You will be responsible for implementing BI monitoring and increasing the number of users and daily views are fundamental KPIs for this role.

* In addition, you will work alongside data engineers and a data architect to establish a data warehouse that will deliver data to be used by the BI team. To do this, you will need advanced SQL skills, and experience in data modelling and data warehouse design. You will be expected to contribute with best practises to the project from a BI perspective.

* You will use your advanced proficiency in Power BI to create aesthetic and functional reports for operational, management and senior leadership teams. This will include using DAX for intricate calculations, advanced M-code within Power Query to streamline data transformations.

* You will work alongside data engineers and a data architect to establish a data warehouse that will deliver data to be used by the BI team. To do this, you will need advanced SQL skills, and experience in data modelling and data warehouse design. You will be expected to contribute with best practises to the project from a BI perspective.

As a tech stack you will have

* Advanced user of Power BI, Power BI service, Power Query and Microsoft Excel

* (Advanced DAX, Mcode and Excel skills are essential)

* Advanced SQL with several years of practical SQL experience in a data role.

* Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and row-level security.

* Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably in Azure.

* Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
