Description:
Business Intelligence Developer
3 months contract to start with (Inside IR35)
Doncaster (2 days onsite every week)
3 to 7 years experience
Essential:
3+ years of proven professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics or any other relevant technical field, preferably using Power BI
Knowledge of data modelling, OLAP and ETL frameworks
Strong relational database and SQL experience (Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL)
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or Qlik)
Experience of working in an agile environment
Excellent relationship builder
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to make recommendations based on complex multilevel data
Capable of managing a broad range of projects and activities
Key Accountabilities
Hands-on development of reports and dashboards in Power BI.
Partnering with stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to business problems and challenges, translating business needs to technical specifications and solutions.
Hands-on development of metrics, reporting, dashboards and analytics to drive key business decisions; reporting on results in a manner which is both statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant.
Maintenance and optimisation of the BI content catalogue to ensure optimal user experience and strong engagement from the business.
Presentation of results to key stakeholders, articulating key trends and insights.
Development and maintenance of technical documentation.
Championing data quality and the use of data to drive business improvement and decision making.
Recognise and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, validation, analysis and visualization.
