Location: UK-wide, field-based with international travel

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a specialist engineering and equipment business supplying industrial ice-making solutions to customers across the UK and international markets.

This is an opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with a background in industrial equipment, manufacturing, engineering or technical B2B sales to develop new business, build lasting customer relationships and expand market opportunities.

The successful candidate will combine a strong track record in business development with the ability to understand technical products, identify customer requirements and present solutions that deliver practical and commercial value.

The Role

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the UK and international markets.

Sell industrial equipment and associated solutions to manufacturing, food processing and other relevant industrial customers.

Build relationships with decision-makers, technical teams, distributors and key accounts.

Understand customer applications and requirements, working with internal engineering and service teams to develop suitable solutions.

Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial discussions through to proposals, negotiation and closing.

Develop existing accounts, identify repeat business and explore opportunities for equipment sales, rental and associated services.

Research new markets, attend exhibitions and undertake customer visits throughout the UK and overseas.

Maintain an active sales pipeline and deliver against agreed business development targets.

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

Proven B2B business development or technical sales experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, engineering, machinery or a related technical sector.

Experience selling physical products, equipment or technical solutions to business customers.

A demonstrable track record of winning new business and developing commercial relationships.

The ability to understand technical products and communicate their value to customers.

Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

The flexibility to travel throughout the UK and internationally as required.

Experience in food processing, seafood, refrigeration, cooling systems or process equipment would be advantageous. International sales, export development and distributor management experience would also be beneficial.

The Package

£40,000-£60,000+ salary, dependent on experience.

Uncapped commission/bonus opportunity.

Full-time, permanent position.

UK-wide field-based working with international travel.

The opportunity to develop new markets and contribute directly to business growth.

If you have a background in technical B2B sales and enjoy winning new business for industrial products or equipment, we would be keen to hear from you.
