Alexander James Recruiting is currently looking for an experienced sales professional to work for a well-established supplier of various specialist material handling equipment, to cover and develop their client base across the UK with a main focus on the Midlands region. With a package to include a competitive salary and commission scheme as well as a pick up company vehicle, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical sales person looking to take on a new role.

Responsibilities

Managing an existing client base across the Midlands and further afield
Business development across these areas in or to open doors, build new relationships and a sell of variety of specialist material handling equipment
Providing a consultative approach to customers and providing product demonstrations from time to time
Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth
Sell the company’s range of maintenance products and cooperate effectively with the service team
Account manages effectively by ensuring customer’s service requirement are being met adequately by the engineering team Requirements 

Our client is seeking an individual with a strong appreciation of capital equipment products in respect of hydraulics and pneumatics. You will preferably have experience of selling material handling equipment, agriculture, commercial vehicles or similar. Other industries will also be considered as long as the candidates applying have a strong sales record as well as evidence of selling a technical product. The client also requires an individual that is able to work with customer’s over a long period of time and who appreciates the technical aspects of the products they sell as well as the ability to work on their own initiative in a strategic manner. Although the role requires national coverage from time to time, the main area of focus will be across the Midlands. Therefore, they are willing to consider candidates based in the Midlands or surrounding areas with a reasonable commute.
