BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / SALES MANAGER - DIRECT MAIL

MIDLANDS / SOUTH EAST REGION - HOMEBASED

£50K - £60K (DOE) + Commission + Car or Car Allowance + Pension

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive direct mail solutions, dedicated to helping businesses enhance their marketing efforts through targeted and effective mail campaigns. They are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Direct Mail Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to join their team and drive business growth in the Midlands / South East region.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to increase client base and revenue within the Midlands / South East region. This role requires a proactive and results-driven professional with a deep understanding of direct mail services and a proven track record in business development and sales. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and target potential clients in the Midlands / South East region who can benefit from direct mail services.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand client needs and provide tailored direct mail solutions to meet their marketing objectives.
Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our services and capabilities.
Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and quotations to potential clients.
Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to secure new business.
Ensure all contractual agreements are documented and comply with company policies.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Provide feedback and insights to improve our service offerings and customer experience.
Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Analyse sales data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.Requirements:

Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably within the direct mail or related industry.
Strong understanding of direct mail services and marketing principles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
