Business Development Manager —Logistics

Our client is a well-established business in freight forwarding and customs brokerage with an international footprint. As the Scottish arm continues to grow, they're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join at an exciting stage.
This is a new business role through and through. You'll have the backing of an experienced operations and brokerage team, a full suite of services to sell into - import/export, customs brokerage, single brokerage, LCL and FCL, wholesale and real freedom to go out and win.
???? What You'll Be Doing
Identifying, targeting and winning new customers across sea and air freight, LCL/FCL and customs brokerage
Building a strong, consistent new business pipeline through prospecting, networking and referrals
Presenting the company's full service offering to senior decision-makers
Negotiating rates and terms in line with margin targets
Partnering with the operations and brokerage teams to ensure new accounts land smoothly
Owning your pipeline and reporting through the CRM
✅ What We're Looking For
A track record of new business success in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain sales
Experience with single/customs brokerage, LCL/FCL or airfreight is a strong advantage
A genuine hunter mentality - motivated by opening new doors, not just maintaining existing ones
Resilience and drive to work towards ambitious targets in a fast-paced environment
Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
