Our client, an award-winning mutual that puts members first, is currently recruiting a values-driven field-based Business Development Manager to build new and develop existing relationships with intermediaries, consumers, corporates and affiliates.

Working alongside the Chief Sales Officer, you’ll undertake a busy, varied role to deliver against KPIs and corporate strategy, demonstrating your expertise and personal credibility through in-person meetings, conferences and trade-shows, podcasts and webinars, networking and related activities. Key responsibilities will include:

Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of financial technology, schemes, products and services for a range of end-users
Consolidating relationships with existing customers and diversifying into new B2B markets (mutuals, intermediaries, consumers, corporates and affiliates)
Utilising podcasts, webinars, expert opinion pieces and blog articles to build and grow network and increase brand awareness
Attending meetings, conferences and trade shows to promote products and services to potential customers
Supporting the delivery requirements for existing customers, feeding back any change requests, identified risks and contributing to regulatory and compliance requirements

Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate:

Previous field-based experience in a similar BDM role within financial services, insurance or similar sector
Successful track record of meeting sales targets and KPIs with existing and new business
Expert in your field with sound understanding of financial services products and markets
Advanced relationship builder with strong commercial awareness and personal credibility
Organisation and time management skills
