Description:

Business Development Manager – Electrical Wholesale

Location: Cambridge, Ipswich, Essex & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + Annual Profit Share Bonus
Benefits: Company Car + Additional Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

An established and rapidly growing specialist electrical wholesaler is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to develop new business across Cambridge, Ipswich, Essex and the surrounding areas.

This is a predominantly field-based position offering considerable autonomy, with the opportunity to develop a territory with significant growth potential.

The business specialises in renewable energy products, including solar PV and battery storage solutions, and operates as part of one of the UK's largest electrical wholesale groups. Having experienced significant year-on-year growth, it is now looking to expand its customer base across the region.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new customers, developing relationships and increasing sales across the territory.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Identifying and developing new business opportunities.

* Building relationships with electrical contractors, installers and other trade customers.

* Promoting a specialist range of renewable energy products.

* Developing long-term customer relationships and increasing sales.

* Working closely with the internal sales team to support customers.

* Managing your own diary and sales activity independently.

This is a predominantly field-based position, with occasional visits to the Norwich branch.

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in electrical wholesale, although other relevant technical or trade sales backgrounds will also be considered.

Ideally, you'll have:

* Previous experience in external sales or business development.

* A background in electrical wholesale or a related industry.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* A proactive approach to developing new business.

* The confidence and motivation to manage your own territory independently.

Previous experience with renewable energy products would be beneficial but isn't essential, as product training will be provided.

What's on Offer?

* £35,000 – £40,000 starting salary, depending on experience.

* Annual profit share bonus.

* Company car.

* Predominantly field-based working with considerable autonomy.

* Product training and ongoing support.

* Long-term career opportunities within an established and expanding business.

If you're an experienced Business Development Manager, External Sales Executive or Field Sales Representative looking for a new opportunity within electrical wholesale or renewables, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
