Our client, based in Essex, are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their rapidly growing company. They are print and packaging specialists who are enthusiastic supporters of their employees and their growth and wellbeing.
The Role:
Prospect and generate leads through targeted outreach, networking events, referrals, and digital channels to build a robust pipeline of new clients
Engage in consultative sales conversations with clients to understand their packaging requirements, branding objectives, and product specifications, offering customised solutions that address their unique needs
Showcase our bespoke packaging capabilities, including custom designs, materials, finishes and embellishments, through compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations and proposals
Collaborate closely with our in-house design team to develop and refine bespoke print/packaging concepts that align with client expectations, brand guidelines and project timelines
Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organisations, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for bespoke print/packaging expertise
Keep updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and competitive landscape within the print/packaging industry to identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation and continuous improvement
Track sales activities, pipeline progress and client interactions using CRM software, providing regular updates and reports to management on sales performance and market insights.
The Candidate:
2 years proven experience of success in sales within the print and packaging industry
Strong understanding of print and packaging materials and production processes
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-making and close deals
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and business needs
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
