MEDICAL EDUCATION PROJECTS

Mark Allen is a growing media organisation, with 550 individuals across 7 offices and we are recruiting a Business Development Manager to join our medical communications division based in our Herne Hill offices.

We are a forward-thinking media company experts within healthcare, celebrating yet another record year of success. We're excited to be looking for a Business Development Manager to work within our medical communications division. Medical communications represent a very dynamic and solution-driven area in which the BDM must possess skills in creative and consultative selling, to excel in retaining and growing revenue from large pharmaceutical and medical device companies in our existing network, plus uncovering new business opportunities from outside of a list of named accounts. Account management skills towards ensuring that your sold projects come to fruition through dealing with any potential issues throughout the process are also very important in this role.

This is a specialist sales role and encourages a motivated sales professional with a history and passion for uncovering new business, building strong client relationships and you are a confident networker we want to hear from you. You must thrive under pressure & possess strong organisation/time management skills to consistently meet/exceed sales targets.

This hybrid role is 3 days in our Herne Hill office next to the beautiful surroundings of Brockwell Park. The salary range of £45,000 - £60,000, plus OTE of £20,000+. We will provide on-the-job training where required so you feel fully supported.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build and develop strong relationships with senior decision-makers from the pharmaceutical, medical education and biotech sectors - via face-to-face, phone, and email.

* Retain and grow project sales revenues working closely with clients in offering bespoke sales & marketing campaigns in all forms of media, identifying opportunities for organic growth

* Develop an in-depth understanding of your clients’ businesses to become a trusted senior counsel, cultivating strong, long-term relationships

* Work collaboratively with the relevant teams across the business (commercial, marketing, production, delivery, editorial) to produce bespoke med-comms solutions to support client marketing objectives.

* You will be responsible for sales across a suite of products, including medical education publications, product trials, podcasts, webinars, evidence reviews, focus groups, surveys, face-to-face educational meetings, e-Learning modules, etc.

You will have:

* Experience working in a medcomms agency or similar environment

* Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of difficult and challenging marketing/communications assignments,

* High-level strategic writing skills with excellent presentation skills

* Strong project management experience
