Business Development Manager
Location: South East London / Kent (with travel) Office Orpington

Salary: £28,411 per annum + commission (OTE £45,000)

Hours: Full - Time

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Our client is seeking an ambitious, motivated and target-driven Business Development Manager to join a growing Employer Engagement and Innovation team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in apprenticeship and commercial growth while building strong, long-term employer partnerships across South East London.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Develop and manage relationships with construction employers (SMEs and larger contractors)

* Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into training partnerships

* Promote apprenticeship and training programmes aligned to employer needs

* Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a high-quality employer experience

* Manage a pipeline of opportunities, tracking progress and conversion rates

* Represent the organisation at industry events, networking groups, and employer forums

* Contribute to sector growth strategies and employer engagement plans

About You

* Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement

* Strong knowledge of the construction sector (e.g. trades, contractors, supply chain)

* Track record of meeting or exceeding targets

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

* Ability to identify employer needs and translate them into solutions

* Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
