Vacancy Title Business Development Manager
Location London, South East & South West England
Own a territory that’s already trading. Take the lead across London, the South East and the South West – with established customers and sales from day one.
A well-established supplier of premium fixings to the professional trade is growing its national field sales team. This is a genuine chance to own a territory, make your mark and grow with a business that is investing in its future.
WHY THIS ROLE?
* No cold start – you inherit existing customers and live sales from day one
* Real ownership – your territory, your plan, your results
* A product you can believe in – a quality-led range with a strong reputation in the trade
* Proper backing – an experienced internal team supporting you and your customers
WHAT YOU’LL BE SELLING
Premium woodscrews, fixings and power-tool accessories built for the professional trade – plus an expanding range of accessories and fixing solutions. It’s a quality sell, where performance and reliability win the business and your product knowledge makes you a trusted partner to your customers.
YOUR PATCH
London, the Home Counties, South East England, the South Coast and South West England – including Greater London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
Field-based with regular customer visits, so you’ll need to be based with practical access to the territory.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Grow an established portfolio of trade and merchant accounts
* Win new business and build a healthy pipeline across the territory
* Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, face to face
* Introduce new products and ranges to increase spend in existing accounts
* Quote, negotiate and close commercial opportunities
* Plan and run your own diary and territory
* Deliver against agreed sales targets
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
* Experience in Business Development, Area Sales, Territory Sales or Account Management
* A track record selling into builders’, timber or independent merchants, distributors or the professional trade
* The ability to grow existing accounts and hunt new business
* Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills
* Self-motivation and organisation – comfortable working independently in the field
* A full UK driving licence
Experience with fixings, fasteners, power-tool accessories or building products is a plus, but not essential. If you’re a strong B2B trade sales professional with the right attitude, we want to hear from you.
THE PACKAGE
* Competitive salary
* Company car and fuel card
* Structured performance-related bonus
* 25 days’ annual holiday plus Bank Holidays
* Established customer portfolio from day one
* Real scope to grow your territory – and your career
