Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000 - £40,000 basic (£40,000 - £50,000 OTE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join one of our growing clients, an established consultancy based in Brighton.

This is a relationship-led business development role, focused on growing an established client base while identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.

The Requirements:

Previous Business Development or B2B sales experience highly beneficial
Commercially minded, confident and articulate
Strong relationship-building skills
Comfortable speaking with senior decision makers
Proactive approach to identifying new opportunities
Strong organisation and follow-up skills
Able to understand specialist services and communicate their value
Experience within professional services, property, construction, planning, engineering or consultancy would be advantageous

The Role:

Develop relationships with new and existing clients
Identify opportunities to increase services with current customers
Generate new business across relevant markets
Research target organisations and commercial opportunities
Build relationships with key decision makers
Follow up enquiries, proposals and previous clients
Attend networking events and industry meetings
Develop referral relationships and strategic partnerships
Maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline
Support proposals, pitches and longer-term business development strategy
