About the Opportunity

Match Performance is delighted to be partnering with an innovative, venture-backed technology business that is transforming the way organisations manage a critical area of business operations through a market-leading SaaS platform.

Following significant investment and continued commercial growth, our client is looking to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to help accelerate the next stage of their journey.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage, high-growth technology business where you'll have genuine ownership, influence and the opportunity to shape the commercial strategy alongside the founders.

If you're entrepreneurial, commercially driven and enjoy building relationships within a fast-paced environment, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact while sharing in the future success of the business.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across key target markets.

Working closely with the founders and leadership team, you'll develop strategic sales campaigns, build relationships with senior decision-makers and manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.

This is a consultative sales role where success is built on understanding customer challenges, creating value and developing long-term commercial relationships.

You'll also play an important role in feeding customer insight back into the business to help shape future product development and go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors.

* Build, manage and convert a high-quality sales pipeline.

* Develop strategic target account plans.

* Engage senior stakeholders through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and industry events.

* Deliver engaging online demonstrations and customer presentations.

* Manage opportunities from initial contact through to contract negotiation and close.

* Build long-term relationships with prospective and existing customers.

* Work closely with leadership to refine sales strategy and market positioning.

* Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.

We're looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and creating commercial opportunities.

You'll be proactive, resilient and commercially aware, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers and the ambition to succeed within a growing technology business.

Essential Experience

* 3–5 years' experience within a B2B Business Development or Sales role.

* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

* Experience managing the full sales lifecycle.

* Strong consultative selling skills.

* Experience developing outbound sales campaigns across multiple channels.

* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

* Strong pipeline management and forecasting experience.

* Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.

Personal Attributes

You'll be someone who:

* Builds trusted relationships quickly.

* Thinks commercially and strategically.

* Takes ownership of results.

* Is self-motivated and resilient.

* Thrives within fast-moving environments.

* Enjoys collaborating with founders and senior leadership.

What's on Offer

* £45,000–£60,000 basic salary

* Uncapped commission

* Equity options

* Hybrid and flexible working

* Opportunity to join a venture-backed technology business
