Business Development Manager, Teesside
Salary circa £60,000 per annum, company car & excellent bonus
Talent84 are delighted to be supporting an innovative manufacturing client, an industry leader in the global sealing industry, with their search for a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth by identifying opportunities in existing and new markets. This is a homebased role with regular travel to clients to in the Durham/Teesside areas.
Responsibilities
* Proactively drive sales growth by identifying new business, negotiating contracts and close deals to meet or exceed targets
* Work with clients to provide technical solutions to issues and aligning products with customers needs
* Formulate market entry strategies, identifying new markets and consistently look to grow market share
* Generate leads through regular networking, prospecting and relationship building to drive new business opportunities and pipeline
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge
* Act as a clear communication channel between clients and internal teams, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery of efficient solutions
Key Criteria
* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar field (desirable)
* Proven/prior experience in business development, key account management and/or sales, in a technical environment
* Excellent understanding of the oil and gas and petrochemical industries
* Clear communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate
* Ability to demonstrate a resilient and tenacious attitude to achieving company objectives in a fast-paced, challenging role
* Have an innovative and positive attitude to overachieving against targets
* Fluent use of MS Office and CRM database (ideally HubSpot)
