Business Development Manager – Commercial Finance

We are working exclusively with a well-established and growing commercial finance business that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to join its sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded BDM with experience within commercial finance, asset-based lending, invoice finance or a related financial services environment to join a growing business and play a key role in generating new business.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities across a range of commercial finance products.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with professional introducers including accountants, commercial finance advisers, brokers and solicitors, acting as a key point of contact for new business within your region.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Proactively identifying and generating new business opportunities.

* Building and maintaining strong introducer and professional relationships.

* Managing new business enquiries through the CRM.

* Preparing and submitting quality proposals for credit assessment.

* Working closely with underwriting, operations and internal teams to progress deals.

* Ensuring opportunities meet required credit and quality standards.

* Maintaining accurate records of introducers and prospects.

* Achieving agreed sales and income targets.

* Developing a strong understanding of the company's finance products and wider commercial finance market.

About You

We are looking for a proven sales professional with a strong track record of winning new business.

Ideally, you will have experience within commercial finance, invoice finance, asset-based lending, business finance or a similar environment, although strong relationship-led BDMs from the wider financial services sector may also be considered.

You will be:

* Commercially aware and financially literate.

* Confident and professional when dealing with clients and introducers.

* A strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills.

* Comfortable influencing and negotiating at all levels.

* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

* Self-motivated, proactive and target driven.

* Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

* Comfortable working with credit, underwriting and financial information.

* A strong problem solver with sound commercial judgement.

* Ideally someone with an established and active introducer network.

Why Consider the Opportunity?

This is a chance to join a growing commercial finance business where you will have genuine responsibility for developing new business and building long-term relationships.

The company places a strong emphasis on speed, transparency, fairness and customer service, whilst providing the opportunity to develop your career within the commercial finance sector.
