Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, quotations and presentations.

Work closely with technical teams to ensure coating specifications meet customer requirements.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

Represent the business at industry exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings.

Develop and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting to senior management.

Negotiate commercial agreements and support contract completion.

Identify opportunities to collaborate with wider business teams and develop cross-selling opportunities.

Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the long-term growth strategy.

The Candidate:

Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales Manager role.

Experience within the industrial coatings, protective coatings or corrosion protection industry.

Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate and close business opportunities.

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple opportunities.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

Experience within marine coatings, ship repair or shipbuilding would be highly desirable.

An existing network of contacts across shipyards, marine operators, industrial contractors or coating applicators would be advantageous.

Knowledge of protective coating systems, corrosion prevention and surface preparation.

Experience working with specification sales or technically driven products would be beneficial.

Understanding of marine maintenance, offshore, energy or heavy industrial markets.

Self-motivated, results-driven and commercially focused, with a proactive approach to winning new business.

Strong organisational, time management, presentation and negotiation skills.
