Business Development Manager

Northampton | Hybrid

£30,000-£40,000 + Commission

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join an established and growing IT solutions provider based in Northampton.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT sales professional who is confident hunting for new business, building relationships with decision-makers and developing long-term commercial opportunities.

The business provides a broad range of IT solutions, including managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, communications, hardware, software and infrastructure, allowing the successful candidate to offer customers a complete technology solution.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and winning new business, while also developing opportunities across the wider customer base.

An existing account book and established network of contacts would be highly advantageous, allowing you to hit the ground running, but the key requirement is a proven ability to generate and win new business.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and win new business across the IT market.
Build relationships with new and existing customers.
Generate your own leads through prospecting, networking and outbound activity.
Develop relationships with senior decision-makers.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
Sell across managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, hardware, software and infrastructure.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Work closely with technical and internal teams to deliver the right solution.
Consistently achieve agreed sales and GP targets. The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience within IT sales, ideally an MSP, VAR or IT reseller.
Has a strong track record of winning new business.
Is confident with cold calling, prospecting and generating their own opportunities.
Has an existing account book/contact base that could be developed in a new role.
Can demonstrate previous GP/revenue achievements.
Is comfortable selling a broad range of IT solutions.
Can build strong relationships with business owners, IT managers and senior decision-makers.
Is commercially driven, motivated and hungry to succeed.
Enjoys a consultative approach rather than purely transactional sales. Package

Competitive basic salary
Capped commission
Hybrid working
Northampton-based
Established IT solutions provider
Broad technology portfolio
Opportunity to bring an existing account book
Strong opportunity to win new business and grow your earnings If you’re an experienced IT sales professional with a strong network, an existing account book and a genuine appetite for winning new business, this could be a great opportunity to join a growing technology provider.
