Echelon Engineers is recruiting on behalf of a client, a growing specialist engineering company. They design, build and install bespoke industrial process equipment for customers worldwide.

The role
You will win new capital-equipment projects and grow aftersales revenue, leading each sale from first enquiry to signed order.

* Find and win new customers across manufacturing and engineering sectors

* Manage the full sales cycle: site visits, proposals, negotiation and close

* Lead tenders and bids for major customers

* Grow existing accounts through service contracts, spares and upgrades

* Cross-sell the full product range, including a recently added equipment line

* Represent the business at trade shows and report pipeline to the MD

About you

* 3+ years in technical sales or business development of capital equipment

* A proven new-business winner on complex, high-value projects

* Technically minded and confident talking to engineers

* Full UK driving licence and happy to travel

Desirable

* Experience selling industrial process, plant or production equipment

* Aerospace or automotive contacts

* Engineering qualification (HNC or above)

Package

* Circa £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience

* Commission on orders won

* Company car or allowance

* Pension, laptop and phone
