Business Development Manager – Commercial Vehicles
Location: Wentworth Park, Barnsley
Salary: £50,000 per annum + Rewarding Commission Structure
Irlam Associates are recruiting a Business Development Manager on behalf of a commercial vehicle business responsible for vehicle sales, distribution, parts and aftersales support across the UK.
This is an opportunity for an experienced commercial vehicle sales professional to develop new business, grow existing accounts and build relationships with fleet operators and transport businesses.
Key responsibilities:

Identify and secure new business opportunities within the commercial vehicle market.

Develop relationships with fleet operators, transport companies and other commercial customers.
*
Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities for repeat business.
*
Understand customers’ operational requirements and recommend suitable vehicle solutions.
*
Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and manage opportunities through to sale.
*
Work closely with parts and aftersales teams to support customers and identify additional opportunities.
*
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and monitor competitor activity.
What we’re looking for:
*
Previous sales or business development experience within commercial vehicles, such as trucks, vans or HGVs.
*
A track record of winning new business and developing customer accounts.
*
Experience selling to fleet operators or transport businesses.
*
Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
*
A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own sales pipeline.
*
Knowledge of commercial vehicle parts and aftersales would be an advantage.
