Overview

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for our Engineering and manufacturing client, to generate new commercial opportunities, build lasting client relationships and support technical sales growth. You will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to convert enquiries into profitable, repeat business, manage a sales pipeline and represent the company at customer meetings. This role suits a commercially minded seller with engineering sector experience and a consultative approach to client engagement.

Key responsibilities

* Identify and qualify new business opportunities in relevant sectors
* Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM and proactive outreach
* Build and manage relationships with key customers and technical stakeholders
* Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial terms in collaboration with engineering
* Achieve agreed sales targets and report performance to senior management

What we are looking for

* Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within engineering or technical sectors
* Track record of winning new clients and managing complex sales cycles
* Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
* Commercial awareness and ability to develop technically credible proposals
