Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: London Field and office-based

Salary: Up to £50,000 base + Commission

Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

About the position of Business Development Manager:

We are delighted to be working with an institutionally backed specialist lender on an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

The business specialises in short-term, complex, and high-value lending opportunities across the UK and Europe, including bridging, commercial mortgages, and bespoke specialist finance solutions.

This role is ideal for an experienced BDM or originator with a strong broker network who is looking to join a growing lender, develop new relationships, generate quality opportunities, and play a key role in expanding the lending pipeline.

You will work closely with brokers, intermediaries, and internal credit teams to identify opportunities, structure deals, and support transactions through to completion while representing the business within the specialist finance market.

Responsibilities for the role of Business Development Manager:

Dvelop and maintain relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and introducers to generate new lending opportunities
Originate and manage a pipeline of specialist finance opportunities across bridging, commercial mortgages, and complex lending solutions
Identify, assess, and structure suitable opportunities in collaboration with internal credit and deal teams
Build a understanding of borrower requirements and provide guidance on lending solutions and criteria
Act as a key point of contact for brokers throughout the transaction lifecycle, ensuring a high level of service
Attend broker meetings, networking events, and industry functions to strengthen relationships and increase market presence
Proactively identify new business opportunities while managing and developing existing intermediary relationships
Work closely with underwriting and operations teams to support smooth deal progression through to completion
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline activity, opportunities, and market feedback
Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and changes within the specialist finance sectorExperience and skills required for the role of Business Development Manager:

Proven experience in business development within specialist finance, bridging, commercial mortgages, or property lending
Strong broker and intermediary network within the specialist lending market
Good understanding of real estate finance and short-term lending structures
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Commercially driven with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
