Sales Manager - Weighing & Inspection Equipment

UK-wide Territory | £50,000-£55,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission + Car / Car Allowance

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced technical sales professional with a background in weighing, inspection or capital equipment? Do you want the opportunity to help build a business, develop a new market and play a key role in its long-term growth?

My client is a newly established business, specialising in weighing and inspection equipment, backed by an established machinery group with operations in the UK and other parts of Europe.

With its product portfolio taking shape and ambitious plans for growth, my client is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to drive business development, establish customer relationships and build its presence across the UK market.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated salesperson who enjoys developing new business, identifying opportunities and taking ownership of their territory.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for developing sales of weighing and inspection machinery into key industrial sectors, including meat, dairy and ready meals.

Working with an established group and a growing portfolio of equipment, you will identify new customers, develop existing relationships and deliver capital equipment sales into end-user manufacturing businesses.

Initially covering a UK-wide territory, you will have the opportunity to help shape the sales function as the business grows, with potential for increased responsibility and career progression as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities for weighing and inspection machinery across the UK.
Identify, target and win new customers within the food manufacturing and wider industrial markets.
Build strong relationships with end users, key decision-makers and existing customers.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement through to technical discussions, quotations and closing deals.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable weighing, inspection and packaging solutions.
Work closely with equipment suppliers and internal technical colleagues to deliver the right solutions for customers.
Represent the business at industry exhibitions and events, helping to build brand awareness and generate new opportunities.
Maintain accurate pipeline information and customer activity through the company's CRM system.

About You

Experience selling weighing equipment, inspection machinery or related capital equipment.
A proven ability to generate new business and develop long-term customer relationships.
Experience selling into food manufacturing, particularly meat, dairy or ready-meal production.
A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the confidence to take ownership and work independently.
The flexibility to travel throughout the UK and visit customer sites as required.

What's on Offer?

£50,000-£55,000 basic salary
Uncapped commission
Indicative on-target earnings of approximately £75,000, subject to the commission structure and sales performance.
Car allowance or company car.
Pension
