Technical delivery and scoping support

We are currently working with a growing BMS, building performance and predictive maintenance specialist who are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to develop new business across London and the Home Counties.

This is predominantly a new business development role, selling a technology-led alternative to traditional BMS service and planned maintenance contracts. The solution uses predictive diagnostics, real-time fault detection and automated reporting to help clients improve building performance and reduce maintenance costs.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, developing and winning new customers, targeting senior decision-makers across facilities, estates and building operations.

Generate new business across London and the Home Counties

Target Facilities Managers, Estates Directors and other senior property and building-services decision-makers

Develop opportunities for predictive BMS and mechanical maintenance solutions

Sell an ROI-led proposition focused on reducing maintenance costs and improving building performance

Demonstrate how BMS data and real-time diagnostics can identify faults and maintenance requirements

Build relationships with new clients and develop opportunities from initial engagement through to contract award

Create and manage your own sales pipeline rather than relying on existing accounts or inbound leads

Present technical and commercial solutions to senior client stakeholders

Work closely with technical teams who will support with surveys, scoping and solution delivery

Maintain accurate sales forecasts and work towards agreed revenue targets

Develop long-term relationships across the FM, property, estates and building-services markets

Experience Required

Previous experience within BMS sales, service sales, business development or sales engineering

Alternatively, a strong mechanical, HVAC, controls or building-services sales background

Good technical understanding of BMS, HVAC and building services

Proven track record of generating and winning new business

Strong new-business mentality with the ability to create opportunities from scratch

Comfortable prospecting and approaching senior decision-makers

Proven experience working towards and achieving sales targets

Strong commercial and negotiation skills

Confident presenting technical and ROI-led solutions to clients

Experience selling BMS service, maintenance, energy optimisation, analytics or similar solutions would be advantageous

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BMS Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager who enjoys winning new business and wants to sell something different from a traditional BMS service or PPM contract.

With a £50,000-£70,000+ basic salary and uncapped commission offering £100,000+ OTE, the role offers significant earning potential alongside the opportunity to join a growing technology-led business at an early stage
