Description:

Build a new sales channel. Help shape the future of our business.

At Paul Card Recruitment, we've built a strong reputation across the North East finance community. We have long-standing relationships with clients, an extensive network of finance professionals and a team that delivers exceptional recruitment services.

Like most successful recruitment businesses, our consultants have always played an active role in developing business and building client relationships. However, as we've grown, we've recognised that generating new opportunities needs a more consistent and dedicated focus.

That's why we're creating this role.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in a business-to-business sales environment to help drive the next stage of growth for the business.

Part of the role will focus on opportunities within markets where we're already established and well known. Alongside that, you'll play a key role in helping us develop a new niche sales channel across the North of England.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director and take ownership of business development within an established and respected business.

We're not looking for someone to follow a rigid script or inherit a heavily structured sales process. We're looking for somebody with the experience, judgement and confidence to develop relationships, identify opportunities and help shape how business development is approached moving forward.

You'll be joining a business with a clear vision, a strong reputation and a genuine appetite to invest in growth.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for somebody with a proven track record in a business-to-business sales environment.

Recruitment experience would be helpful, but it isn't essential.

What's more important is experience of generating new business, building relationships and successfully selling in a business-to-business environment.

You'll be comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers, managing your own performance and developing opportunities over time.

Most importantly, you'll enjoy business development. We're looking for somebody who is naturally curious, commercially minded and motivated by creating opportunities rather than simply maintaining existing relationships.

What you'll get in return

£45,000 basic salary
Bonus scheme
33 days annual leave, increasing with service to 38 days
Private healthcare through Vitality
Health Shield cash plan
Sabbatical opportunity every five years
Flexible and hybrid working
Direct access to the Managing Director
The opportunity to influence the future direction of the business

Interested?

If you're successful in business development and looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Send your CV, LinkedIn profile or simply get in touch for a confidential conversation.

The best opportunities don't always start with an application. Sometimes they start with a conversation.

All enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
