Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing distribution and logistics specialist, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team, covering the Yorkshire region. This is a permanent position with excellent growth opportunities and a chance to make a significant impact in the company.
We are looking for candidates with industry experience and a drive for new business development!
Role & Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will enhance the already lucrative sales performance; identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, negotiating contracts and driving growth across all storage, fulfilment, logistical training and final miles solutions.
* Identify new business opportunities and leads within the targeted industries
* Develop and implement strategic sales and business development plans
* Establish and lead the end to end sales process
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
* Negotiate and close business deals to achieve sales targets
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
* Update the CRM to ensure pipeline is maintained and achieved
* Represent the company at events, trade shows and conferences to promote brand awareness
* Produce reports for senior management on sales activities, market trends and competitior analysis
Skills, Experience and Qualities:
* Proven experience in a business development role within the freight industry
* Motivated and results driven
* Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
* Understanding of market trends and customer needs in the transportation sector
* Full UK driving licence
