Business Development Manager
Location: Home/Field based (Maidenhead office 1 day a week)
Reports to: Senior Business Development Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Commission (based on value of business secured)
Our client is proud to be at the forefront of the industry in providing blinds, curtains and automated solutions for an array of customers, from multinational brands such as Apple, Netflix and the BBC, to private clients and individuals (Construction). Over the last 18 months they have successfully completed iconic buildings at 100 Liverpool Street, 22 Bishopsgate and Waltham Forest Town Hall. Following an MBO in 2021 the company is family owned and managed, and on an exciting growth trajectory.
Responsibilities & Duties
* To sell our clients solutions and services to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Develop short and long-term sales opportunities.
* To follow up on quotes, engaging with the customer to support offers.
* To ensure scope and project requirements have been captured within our offering.
* Communicate lead times along with assessing risk items.
* Provide samples and product information to secure the sale.
* Fully utilising our clients CRM systems to ensure accuracy and capture of customer data.
* Actively participate in regular sales team meeting and learning forums.
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure cross communication throughout the business.
Sales and Growth
* Develop trusting relationships and a positive reputation with existing and new customers
* Grow revenue from existing and new customers
* Build a pipeline for new business, negotiate and close sales opportunities
* Develop in depth understanding of the needs of our customers and the applicable standards and governance to which they are working
* Develop high levels of expertise in our solutions and services and how they can be applied to our customer needs
* Meet or exceed agreed annual target and quarterly sales targets
* Provide information to your manager as reasonably required. This includes weekly sales activity and forecast reports
* Work with your manager to implement a personal development plan, including product, sales and other training that may be required
