Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a new Business Development Executive to drive growth in international markets. Business Development Executive - Sales / Trader responsibilities
* Actively seeking out those who can influence your business and develop a professional and trusting relationship.
* Manage key cases and significant new business enquiries, to ensure effective conversion of high-quality business.
* Develop strong relationships with global Account Managers responsible for managing the relationships of key networks and seek their support to influence your accounts.
* Presentation of sales ideas and product training to groups of intermediaries as required, predominantly face-to-face or video call.
* Actively identifying areas of account development and delivering appropriate solutions to maximise sales within area.
* Internal processes followed to deliver a consistently high level of service.
* Working with other departments; Sales, Purchasing, Technical and Production Planning to ensure strong communication is maintained, whilst delivering on promises.
* Building and fostering relationships, taking a lead role in the resolution of any customer queries or other problems as they arise.
* Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure all orders are processed correctly and within the agreed time limits.
* Maintaining familiarity with all company updates and keeping confidentiality of information.
* Maintaining credibility with external relationships through knowledge of their business and marketplace.
* Developing good understanding and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity, products and services and utilising this to build rapport and trust.
* Maintaining and developing comprehensive industry knowledge, understanding market trends, and applying this to maximise business opportunities.
* Develop good and effective working relationships with all members of your team to provide and obtain beneficial mutual support.
* Fully understand the business plans and strategic objectives of the team globally.
* Provide support to the Sales Director when required (holiday cover/sickness).
Business Development Executive - Experience and Skills Required:
* At least three years’ of relevant Business to Business experience.
* Self-driven with a positive outlook - a degree of autonomy required in decision-making.
* Motivated and proactive with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
* Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Flexibility in hours to cover different time zones globally.
* Strong time management within a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Skills.
