Role in detail

The Business Development Director is responsible for directing all Sales activities to ensure that business growth objectives are met efficiently. Reporting to the Directors, you will be an integral member of the senior leadership team and have a real impact on shaping future business growth.

SALARY: £75,000 + £25,000 Performance related bonus

LOCATION: Basingstoke, Hampshire

Key responsibilities

-Help to deliver strategic business growth plan across sales function

-Taking full responsibility for Sales function

-Implement sales strategy

-Identifying staff competencies, identifying areas for improvement and planning team development

-Delivering training and development to salesteam

-Hiring new sales staff

-Supervising salesteam

-Plans, monitors and appraises team

-Holding the team accountable through structured KPI’s linked to overall business objectives

-Efficient reporting on company sales, growth and team

-Attending client visits with team, supporting team

-Identifying growth areas in existing client base, creating and delivering growth strategy

-Identifying new verticals, markets, geographic territories and growth areas

Qualities and experience

· Minimum 5 years of sales experience

· Experience building and developing a sales team

· Excellent communication skills
