We are a growing business, and we are expanding our geographic footprint further into the rail and infrastructure construction markets. We currently have circa 110 (white collar) full time employees which we envisage growing steadily alongside our plan to directly employ a proportion of our (blue collar) site operatives going forward, to provide more opportunity for a Social Value impact to be landed.

Given recent successful work winning and a solid growth strategy planned for Ireland we are looking to recruit a Business Development Consultant to join our team and build upon our success in the region.

As a Business Development Manager, your job purpose is to drive business growth and expansion within the recruitment sector, fostering collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders. By providing tailored recruitment solutions, identifying opportunities for organizational development, and promoting meaningful work opportunities, you contribute to maximizing organizational potential and individual excellence. Through a commitment to excellence and community impact, you ensure that clients receive exceptional service while leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities served.

This role would suit someone either from a construction recruitment sector or with in plant hire/tool hire/welfare hire facilities.

Main Responsibilities

Take ownership of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the construction, rail, renewables and power sectors, proactively seeking out potential clients and projects.

Actively engage with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and provide proactive recruitment solutions that address their challenges and goals.

Conduct regular client meetings and reviews to assess satisfaction levels, address concerns, and identify opportunities for additional value-added services.

Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in meeting their recruitment needs.

Manage sales pipelines and client relationships efficiently, ensuring timely follow-up and proactive communication to move opportunities forward.

Utilize sales tools and technologies to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and maximize sales productivity.

Experience:

* Proven experience in business development or sales roles within the recruitment industry, preferably with a focus on construction and rail sectors.

* Demonstrated success in generating new business, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

* Experience in the construction or rail industry or related sectors is advantageous.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).

* Certification or training in sales, business development, or recruitment is beneficial.

Technical skills

* Proficiency in sales techniques and strategies, including prospecting, cold calling, networking, and relationship building.

* Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for managing pipelines, tracking leads, and generating reports.

* Strong understanding of recruitment processes, industry trends, and client needs within the construction and rail sectors.

Additional skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

* Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to influence decision-making and close deals effectively.

* Analytical skills to assess market opportunities, analyse sales data, and identify areas for growth.

* Adaptability and resilience to navigate challenges in the sales process and overcome objections.

* Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

* Strategic thinking and business acumen to develop sales strategies, identify target markets, and position the company competitively.
