Bus Valeter

Description:

We are looking for a reliable Bus Valeter to join our team in Peterborough.

You will be working Monday to Friday on either 08:00-13:00 or 09:00-14:00 shifts.

This role offers 25-30 hours per week.

The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour.

You will play a key part in keeping our fleet clean, safe and ready for daily service.

Your Time at Work

As a Bus Valeter, you will work independently throughout your shift, ensuring every vehicle meets high cleanliness and safety standards. Managers will allocate tasks and provide support when needed, and there may be occasional opportunities to assist the on-site mechanic with simple tasks such as bulb changes or basic checks.

Your daily responsibilities include:

- Interior Valeting - vacuuming seats and floors, wiping and sanitising surfaces, removing rubbish, and ensuring all passenger areas are clean and presentable.

- High Touch Sanitisation - cleaning poles, handles, doors and the driver's area to maintain hygiene standards.

- Exterior Cleaning - wash downs, window cleaning and removing dirt and grime from the bus exterior.

- Detailing Tasks - spot cleaning marks, treating surfaces and maintaining a polished finish.

- Restocking Supplies - replenishing bin liners, cleaning products and sanitising materials.

- Reporting Issues - notifying Managers of damage, lost property or maintenance concerns.

- Safe Working Practices - correct chemical use, PPE compliance and awareness of moving vehicles.

You will use a range of equipment, including pressure washers, long‑reach brushes, vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, microfibre cloths, squeegees and approved cleaning chemicals.
