Description:

Hill & Hill Recruitment are working with a Herefordshire based Local Authority who are looking to bring in a RICS Chartered Building Surveyor to their team.

The Building Surveyor role will include working with our partner organisation on a daily basis to ensure the compliance and safety of our buildings along with working with our PMO team to deliver capital projects. Given the range of the councils portfolio the applicant is expected to have knowledge around issues associated with Grade 1, Grade 2, Scheduled Ancient Monuments, Commercial and Industrial sites.

You will work with other teams across the council to help ensure a compliant portfolio estate is in place.

As a Building Surveyor you will have:

* Qualified RICS Chartered Surveyor

* Demonstrable experience working within a property environment.

* Strong knowledge of current legislation, regulatory issues, conservation & planning policy

* The ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, often to tight deadlines and on multiple work streams.

* Experience in acting as Contract Administrator and acting as Principal Designer for varied project work.

* Desirable but not essential, to act as Nominated Person for Asbestos and Fire Management
