Excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor or Project Manager with residential experience to join a well established, not for profit organisation in a highly rewarding role where you will directly impact people's lives while maintaining a strong work life balance.

This organisation is a leading home improvement agency supporting vulnerable individuals including the elderly and disabled to live safely and independently in their homes. They work closely with local authorities delivering residential adaptation and repair projects across the region.

In this role you will manage a range of domestic residential projects from initial survey through to completion. You will carry out site surveys, diagnose defects, produce CAD drawings and specifications, and oversee contractors on site. Projects will typically involve adaptations, repairs and improvements to private residential homes, often funded through grants or private means.

The role also involves working closely with vulnerable clients, so strong communication skills and a personable approach are essential. You will liaise with local authorities, contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and in line with regulations.

The Role:

Managing domestic residential projects from survey through to completion
Carrying out site inspections and diagnosing building defects
Producing CAD drawings, specifications and schedules of work
Overseeing contractors and ensuring quality of work
Liaising with clients, local authorities and stakeholders
Supporting vulnerable homeowners through improvement worksThe Person:

Building Surveying background
HNC or HND in Building or Construction (or equivalent)
Experience working on residential projects
CAD experience
Knowledge of planning permission and building regulations
