Description:

A well-established property and construction consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to work across a diverse portfolio of projects and professional instructions. The successful Building Surveyor will provide advice to a broad client base across multiple sectors while developing their technical and client-facing skills. The Company

The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a growing consultancy with an established reputation for delivering building surveying services across the commercial property sector. The Building Surveyor will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to a varied workload while building strong client relationships.

The Role

As the Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of building surveying services to clients across multiple sectors.

The role will include:

* Providing professional building surveying services including building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, schedules of condition and party wall matters
* Undertaking contract administration duties on maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects
* Producing technical reports and providing advice on a range of building-related matters
* Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams throughout project delivery
* Supporting business development activities and maintaining existing client relationships
* Attending meetings with clients and project stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry standards
* Managing project administration including timesheets, expenses and invoicing requirements
* Adhering to health and safety and quality management procedures

The Building Surveyor

You will be a motivated and commercially aware individual with experience delivering building surveying services within the UK property market.

The Building Surveyor must have:

* A RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or a related property discipline
* Experience providing advice on a range of building surveying matters
* Strong understanding of client requirements and commercial objectives
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage your own workload and meet project deadlines
* Experience working independently and as part of a wider team
* Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills
