Description:
Our client, a Local Authority based in Dorset, are currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team on a 3-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in Building Surveying to contribute to a customer-focused, high-quality response repairs and voids maintenance service.
As the Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing support to minimise response repair time, accurately order work without pre-inspections, and control responsive repair and voids expenditure. You will also play a key role in maintaining statutory compliance, ensuring works conform to regulations and specifications while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
To provide a customer-focused response repairs and voids maintenance service, engaging with tenants, leaseholders, and stakeholders.
Support the objective of minimizing response repair time and accurately ordering work without pre-inspections.
Control responsive repair and voids expenditure while maximizing resources for improvement programs.
Maintain scrutiny on works in progress to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and specifications.
Job Requirements
Significant experience in specifying and inspecting complex responsive repairs.
Proficient in working with and managing contractors.
Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
