Role Overview:
As a Building Surveyor, you will:
* Work within the building surveying team to deliver refurbishment, internal remodeling, repair works, extensions, and fit-out projects.
* Prepare designs, drawings, specifications, and tender documents to obtain competitive costs from contractors.
* Manage contract administration to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project delivery team members to manage projects from inception to completion.
* Lead internal and external project meetings.
* Conduct condition surveys, planned maintenance schedules, and defect analysis reports under senior supervision.
* Advise clients on proposals for refurbishment, maintenance, and repair works.
* Ensure projects comply with health and safety aspects, building regulations, and planning legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver projects within agreed budgets, meeting fee proposals and ensuring profitability.
* Provide efficient and business-like contact for clients, maintaining professional customer service.
* Communicate effectively with all staff and handle complaints professionally.
* Participate as a collaborative team member, supporting colleagues and contributing to business development.
* Mentor and advise junior colleagues, fostering a supportive team environment.
What We're Looking For:
* Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent experience.
* Working towards professional qualification (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB).
* Up to two years of Building Surveying experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of building construction and regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software (ArchiCAD preferred).
* Full UK Driving License.
* Ability to manage complex workloads independently.
