Are you a (Senior) Building Surveyor with Project Management experience looking for your next career move?

We are working with an international Real Estate and Logistics firm looking to grow its Commercial team in the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a portfolio of clients, as well as new acquisitions, new builds, fit-outs and potentially, disposals.

This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the Milton Keynes office, the rest will be a mix of working from home and site visits. They offer a competitive salary, accompanied by a company car, fuel card, discretionary bonus, private medical and a generous employer pension contribution.

Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, liaising with business partners, contractors and vendors.
Oversee the on-site activities during the construction phase, managing General Contractors and Owner vendors.
Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects.
Contribute to the pre-construction design stage of projects, integrating the operational needs of all internal stakeholders and workstreams.
Collaborate with other key workstreams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Handle and evaluate all project variations, scope changes, change order negotiations and contract compliance.
Act as the intermediary between developer/landlord representatives and our client to align building fabric and structure and internal layout delivery.
Develop, review and negotiate Schedules of Dilapidations under the Dilapidation protocol and RICS guidance to maximise value for the business.
Conduct all relevant due diligence surveys to properties and produce specifications that can be tendered for various types of work, from minor refurbishments to major repairs to extensive fit outs of base build properties.
Comprehend and communicate current building legislation and regulations to the business and advise and oversee any works required to maintain statutory compliance at all times.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of Project Management and CDM responsibilities for all projects.
Perform all relevant Building Surveying roles and duties that are required by the business, such as SoC's, defect analysis, BRCA's etc.
Work closely with approved contractors to ensure professional and smooth execution of all scales of projects and have the ability to communicate and agree on all levels of specification and design.Basic Qualifications:

Building Surveying degree/background or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years PQE (MRICS or MCIOB)
Experience in the Project Management of commercial and industrial buildings, with proven track record of delivering relevant projects in the construction industry.
Strong experience in all Building Surveying roles and tasks, including Project Management and Dilapidations.
Up to date knowledge of building regulations, HSE regulations (including CDM) and construction methods and all current legislation
A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in relevant construction project management.
Experience in creating and managing budgets.
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project and familiar with CAD.
Ability to lead negotiations, and manage meetings and discussions.
