Building Supervisor - Primary School
Sheffield | Full-Time | ASAP Start
10:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Building Supervisor to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented learning environment for pupils and staff.
The Role
As the Building Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and upkeep of the school premises. Working from 10:00am to 6:00pm, you will ensure the site remains safe, clean, secure, and fully operational throughout the school day and after-school activities.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and securing areas of the school site as required
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Monitoring health and safety across the premises
Managing contractors and site visitors
Conducting regular site inspections
Ensuring the school grounds are maintained to a high standard
Supporting with deliveries, room setups, and school events
Responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site supervisory role
Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
