Building Safety Manager

£350 Daily Rate – UMBRELLA

3 Month Contract Initially

Bristol / Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite

Our client is looking to recruit a Building Safety Manager on an initial 3 month contract.

The Building Safety Managers role is to ensure the safety of the building, primarily for the safety of all occupants of multi-occupied High-Rise Residential Buildings and designated building types (including Low-Rise Residential Buildings).

Key job outcomes/accountabilities

* To take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of all matters relating to structural and fire safety for in-scope buildings to meet legislative requirements

* To manage resident engagement within high-rise and/or higher-risk housing stock, particularly in ensuring that safety concerns are recorded, monitored and dealt with appropriately

* To engage with relevant internal housing staff to ensure that roles are performed effectively in accordance with the Corporate Fire Safety Policy.

* To oversee the safe management of high-rise (and/or higher-risk) residential buildings within Housing and Landlord Services’ building stock

Experience required:

* Demonstrate a clear knowledge on Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, Fire Safety Regulations, Golden Thread, Clear understanding of legislation and current requirements, Understanding of fire safety in complex environments.

* Clearly demonstrate a sound knowledge on: Fire spread and assessment of risk in residential buildings, Approved documents, Guidance documents ACOPS

* Experience of effectively collaborating with external partners / stakeholders in order to negotiate effective management of High-Rise Residential Building (HRRB)

* Writing reports on issues such as: surveys/inspections etc
