Our client is offering an excellent contract opportunity for a qualified Building Control Surveyor. This role focuses on ensuring that construction work complies with all relevant regulations and standards. As a Class 2A, 2B, and 2D registered building inspector, you will be integral to our team's site inspection and regulatory compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
Evaluating and approving building plans and specifications
Providing expert advice on safety, fire protection, and structural integrity
Issuing certificates and notices following successful inspections
Tracking and documenting inspection results and related activities
Liaising with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any compliance issues
Advising on any necessary construction alterations to meet regulatory standards
Ensuring thorough and timely communication with internal and external parties
Job Requirements:
Registration in Class 2A, 2B, and 2D as a building inspector
Extensive knowledge of building control regulations and industry standards
Proficiency in evaluating building plans and specifications for compliance
Strong experience in conducting site inspections
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise reports
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Capability to work collaboratively with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders
