Description:

The Build Engineer will deliver all ongoing Sitec build requirements across the Region. Day to day work to vary from blow/spicing/testing to patching and MDU build depending on current requirements

The key aspects of the role are:

* Blow / Splice / Test of fibre cables across MDU and Infill workstreams

* Physical build on MDU projects

* Patching of CF network at SN/ASN level

* Fault finding across live networks.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

* Working knowledge of fibre networks and PIA

Desirable:

* SA001

* SA002 S7, S8

* History of working on BT, CityFibre and Virgin Media Network

* Understanding of MDU build

* Contractor management

Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

* Blow, Splice and testing experience

* IOLM/OTDR/Light meter reading

Desirable:

* Able to read civils diagrams

* Understanding of As built documentation

Person Specification:

* Must have a current UK Driving Licence

* Must be prepared to travel, with the occasional stay away from home

* Self starter who is keen to learn and complete work to a high specification

* Able to work alone and within a team

* Can do attitude
