Urgent Job Opportunity: BSL Support Worker Needed
Location: Loughton, Essex Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Are you proficient in British Sign Language (BSL) and passionate about supporting individuals in an educational setting? We have an urgent opening for a BSL Support Worker at a college in Loughton. This role requires immediate availability and offers full-time hours during school hours.
Needs to have BSL Level 3
Responsibilities:
Provide BSL support to students in classrooms and during various activities.
Assist students in understanding and participating in lessons, ensuring inclusion and accessibility.
Collaborate with teaching staff to facilitate effective communication and learning experiences.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with hearing impairments.Requirements:
Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) at a level suitable for educational support.
Experience working as a support worker or in a similar role, preferably in an educational environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and work effectively within a team.
Commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility in education.
