Salary: £12-£14.64 ph
Role Overview:
Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant/Support Worker with BSL) Level 2 to join our team in Croydon. This role involves working with a deaf nursery-aged child in a supportive and inclusive SEN setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the child's educational and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a deaf nursery-aged child.
Utilize BSL to communicate effectively and support the child's learning.
Assist with educational activities, ensuring they are accessible and engaging.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored support.
Monitor and document the child's progress and provide feedback to the educational team.Requirements:
BSL Level 2 certification (or above) is essential.
Previous experience in a UK-based school setting is mandatory.
Must be comfortable working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment.
Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
