Bridge Engineer

We're looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team based in Salford or Penrith to produce scheme designs, reports and documentation in accordance with specified briefs and in line with the time and budgetary allocations.

Location: Salford or Penrith - some remote working available, with travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent Fulltime

Salary: £33k - £40k + benefits

 

Responsibilities

As a Bridge Engineer, you'll assist in the overall delivery of the workload of the Structures team within the Design Solutions Structures office including design checks.

Your day to day will include:

Undertake structural bridge designs, feasibility reports and assessments to current highway standards

Develop and design solutions in accordance with National design standards, procedures and requirements and any specific parameters  

Production of concise scheme documents and reports

Contribute to compliance with the Quality Management Systems including site specific audits

What are we looking for?

This role of Bridge Engineer is great if you have:

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline

Experience working in a similar role within highways

Experience of bridge design standards and analysis
