Brickwork Lecturer - County Durham
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable Brickwork Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider in County Durham. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced brickwork professional or qualified lecturer looking to make a positive impact on the next generation of construction workers.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Brickwork lessons to L2 brickwork learners within a Further Education setting, helping students develop the practical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence required to succeed within the construction industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering Brickwork programmes to students at varying levels
Planning and preparing high-quality lessons and practical workshops
Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
Supporting students to achieve their qualifications and career goals
Maintaining a safe and productive workshop environment
Collaborating with colleagues to enhance learner outcomes
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
Hold a Level 3 Brickwork Qualification
Industry experience within Brickwork or Construction
A passion for developing and supporting learners
Previous teaching, training or assessing experience (desirable but not essential)
Relevant vocational qualifications in Brickwork/Construction
Strong communication and organisational skills
