Full job description
Search Consultancy is currently recruiting for a skilled, time-served Bricklayer to join an active commercial construction project in Newcastle upon Tyne.
We are partnering with a leading North East contractor who requires a precision operative capable of delivering high-quality face brickwork and structural blockwork to keep the site on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Constructing high-spec facing brickwork, blockwork partition walls, and internal leaves to project drawings.
Setting out, laying damp proof courses (DPC), installing cavity tray systems, and setting lintels over door and window openings.
Finishing mortar joints neatly (bucket handle, recessed, or flush) to match existing site specifications.
Working safely off scaffolding and maintaining a safe, clean work area at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Skilled Worker Card (Bricklayer) is required.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in commercial or high-end residential bricklaying.
Tools: Full personal hand tool kit (trowels, levels, line, jointers) and standard 5-point PPE.
Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and capable of working efficiently to site program targets.
Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
