Role: Branch Manager
Hours: Mon-Fri (8am – 5pm)
Pay: £35,000 + incentive scheme / bonus
Location: Manchester
Our client is a one of the UK’s largest national providers for lifting equipment hire. Due to their continued growth and expansion, they’re looking for an established Branch Manager to oversee and lead all day-to-day operations in one of their busy depots in Manchester.
It’s essential that you’re an established Manager or Supervisor who has previous experience working in the Hire sector (preferably Lifting equipment) who can comfortably take the reins and manage the rest of the Hire Desk, Transport & Planning, Engineering and Accounting teams.
Key responsibilities:
* Control of the Branch day-to-day Operations
* Co-ordination and scheduling of delivery and collections to customers
* Administration duties – general paperwork, contracts, purchase orders, picking notes, vehicle maintenance and weekly reports & invoicing
* Deal with customer enquiries, provide prices and build/ maintain relationships
* Process orders
* Mange all costs, meet targets/budgets, provide reports and understand the branches financial performance
* Deal with suppliers – negotiating the best possible deal for the branch
* Ensure a high level of health and safety is maintained at all times
As a Branch Manager, you will need:
* Previous hire knowledge (preferably with Lifting equipment / MHE)
* Previous managerial / leadership experience
* Be sales focused
* Strong communication (both telephone and face to face) & organizational skills
* IT literate – confident in using various systems
* Good transport knowledge within the area would be beneficial but not essential • Ability to work as part of a team
