Our client is a well-established and growing electrical wholesaler with a strong reputation for customer service, technical expertise and dependable product availability. They are now looking for an experienced Branch Manager to take responsibility for the performance and development of their Peterborough branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious branch, sales or operations professional who enjoys leading a team, developing customer relationships and driving commercial performance.
The Role
As Branch Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and commercial performance of the Peterborough branch.
You will lead from the front, ensuring the branch delivers an exceptional level of customer service while achieving sales, margin and operational targets.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Leading, motivating and developing the branch team
* Driving branch sales, profitability and overall commercial performance
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
* Managing key customer accounts and supporting the sales team
* Ensuring excellent levels of customer service and product availability
* Overseeing branch operations, stock management and logistics
* Monitoring KPIs and taking action to improve branch performance
* Ensuring company processes, health & safety and compliance standards are maintained
* Working closely with the wider business to maximise commercial opportunities
* Recruiting, coaching and developing team members
* Creating a positive, accountable and customer-focused branch culture
The Candidate:
* You must have management experience within an electrical wholesale environment
* Strong commercial and customer-focused mindset
* Experience of managing and developing a team
* A track record of delivering sales and/or profitability targets
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
* A hands-on approach to branch management
